What i need to have in my desktop pc to install ati radeon HD 5770-1GB/GTS450 graphics card?

My desktop pc is dell inspiron 580-

a)intel i5-750 quad core having 3.2 GHz clockspeed and 8MB cache memory however intel intergrated graphics is not available on that processor.i think my cpu has latest LGA1156 socket

b)Nvidia geforce 310-512MB DDR3 graphics.stupid card only has 16 shader core(stream processor) and old direct x10.1 support.so i need a good graphics,i am specially in gaming.

c)4GB DDR3 SD RAM running at 1333 MHz

d)22 inch WLED and full HD(1080p) monitor

SO MY QUEstion is what system i need to upgrade that stupid video card into strong Ati Radeon HD 5770-1GB or at least nvidia GTS450-1GB graphics,i really want direct x11 and atleast 192 shader cores to get better performence in gaming.but i don't even know ABC of that.i think i have a 300watt PSU,don't worry i will upgrade that PSU into 450watt or 500watt.but i heard that u need a extra same graphics card that u want to install in ur pc for ati cross fire X ready support?pls help.mention the system requirement.what is 6pin connector, where is it?|||You will need at least a 500 - 550 watt power supply with about 18 amps on the 12 volt rails, although you would be better off getting a 6850 or 6870 just to save you the trouble of using crossfire in which case you will need a 600 to 650 watt power supply with about 36 amps on the 12 volt rails.

The 6 pin connecters are usually connected to the power supply when you get it and there should be anywhere from 2 to 6 of them depending on what PSU you get. they have black plastic tips with 6 small squareish pins on the end of the same color "you will know it when you see it" you just plug it or them into the sockets of the graphics card where it fits "It will only fit one way so you can't really mess it up"

And yes you need the exact same graphics card if you want to crossfire it.|||Buy SAPPHIRE RADEON 6850 1GB Card. Its a very good card. Its performance in all games is excellent. Every graphics card require atleast 500 watts PSU. So buy 500 watts PSU. All latest and future games are supported because of Direct X 11 and Shader model 5.0. This card has 960 shader processors. It costs Rs. 11,100. Its a good buy.|||just leave those two gpu kids and go buy gtx 560 ti and if your psu is not enough for it then buy cooler master extreme power plus 600|||Hi,

Your CPU and RAM are good enough. You just need to change your GPU and a compatible PSU.

I would recommend you buy a Nvidia GTX 560 Ti 1GB graphics card. Also get a PSU with 500 Watts.
