ive found this nvidia GTS450 for just £81 ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/251328 ) ... in terms of performance would this be a improvement on my current XFX GTS250...?
the only concern is the reduced 128bit memory interface compared to the 256bit memory interface in the GTS250..... this also results in a lower memory bandwidth ( 57.7gb/sec) compared to 70.4gb/sec in the GTS250
what do you reckon... is it worth it ?
thanks guys !|||Don't forget that the GTS450 also introduces DirectX11 support and High Def audio streaming over HMDI, which your GTS250 does not.
However, 15% for £81 doesn't sound like a great deal to me, especially when you consider that for just over twice the price you could have a GTX460, complete with the 256-bit memory interface you like and 115GB/s memory bandwidth. |||GTS 450 is around 15% faster than GTS 250. Its performance is similar to GTX 260.
