Should I get a ATI5850? GTS450? or an GTX460? Which one is better for gaming?

Radeon HD 5850 is the fasterst card in that list but 1 GB version of Geforce GTX 460 comes very close to HD 5850 in most cases. GTS 450 is where as $130 model and much slower than both of them.



it is true that 2x GTX 460 in SLI are MUCH better option but you need to make sure that you are getting SLI supported board to run that setup.they even manages to beat out the single GTX 480 which is slightly expensive.768 MB model of GTX 460 is fine for 1920x1080 resolution but it cannot handle games on 2560x1600 resolution due to its 192 bit memory bus.

if you are buying crossfire supported board then you will be limited to single GTX 460 so in that case

Radeon HD 5850 would be good choice otherwise if you are looking for fastest single card solution then Radeon HD 5850 is good choice.

Personally I recommand GTX 460 in SLI.|||The other guys have pretty much covered you,even though 5850 crossfire is slightly faster than sli gtx 460 .Now,which one you choose depends on their price and your motherboard.If the 5850 is priced 20-30$ more than the gtx 460 it's a great buy.Also,if your motherboard only supports crossfire,again it's a better choice since the real vale of the gtx 460s lies in sli.If on the other hand the gtx 460 is significantly cheaper or your board supports just sli,then go for the gtx 460.At any rate,both are excellent gpus,I don't think they'll dissappoint you.|||Without any hesitation this one Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 OC 1024MB GDDR5

Forget the GTS450 if you can afford the gtx460 1Gb that is the one to go for.

Not only GPU's are essential for the ultimate gaming. You need a good processor, like intel i5 [minimum] or AMD phenom x6 or Upcoming AMD bulldozer.|||Go for a 460gtx. SLi scaling is a lot better then crossfire. Two of those are better then one 480gtx. best Bang for Buck.
