I play css mostly and at the moment I can get 300 fps with my HD4870 but it keeps overheating. I am either going to buy the Nvidia GTS 450 OC or the HD5770. What would I be able to get on each graphics card? I run on all low settings (something to do with hit registry). BUT that overheating problem won't go away unless the issue is the fan on the 4870 -- if the problem is getting heat out of your case, you need more airflow, not a new graphics card|||The 4870 is actually faster than the 5770 is. You don't have DX11, but the GPU/memory are faster. As such you'll be spending at least $100 on something you don't need. Do what the other guy said. Crack open the case, clean it out with compressed air, and put in an extra fan or two.
